I am so blessed to have such wonderful friends in my life. I often reflect how lucky I am to be surrounded by such gifted, talented, generous, giving people. The support and love is so infectious and I am forever grateful for my dear friends.
Julia Quinn from handmadebyjuliaquinn introduced me to the Stampin Up family and it was last year that I decided to join her team and family on this fantastic creative journey. Although I had been attending her classes on and off for 2 years prior to that I knew t
his is where I wanted to be and do. To share what you love in a creative / artistic manner is such a blessing. The art of giving is so precious and I believe that it can also be instilled in the younger generation to help them mature into this world as good adults.
So as a thank you I would like those who visit my site to not only visit mine but to also visit Julias. She also has a facebook page Handmade by Julia Quinn please go and visit her. Julia recently gave me a card and mini album all in a beautiful handmade envelope. Please check out the pictures below.
Geordie Morgan from This and That Scraps I met through Julia and has shown me how to think out side the box when it comes to paper crafting and mixed media. Geordie constantly challenges me to stretch my skills that little bit further. The biggest lesson she has taught me is to be the creator of my own "artistic licence".
I recently attended one of canvas classes and it was the most amazing experience in mixed media I have ever done. Not only did Geordie teach us about mixed media but she also shared her tips and tricks in using theses skills in our own personal projects. Geordie is also available on facebook her page is Betty's Blooms. Please find my creation below from Geordie's fabulous Canvas Class.

Thank Card It’s Friday
In this project I used up bits and pieces of Stampin Up Designer Series Paper scraps that I have in my "will some day use scraps" pile and thought its about time I used them. Paper piecing is a great way to use up scraps that you have lying around and didn't want to throw out. As you can see the cupcake has 3 different types of designer series papers so I stamped the image 3 times and fussy cut around the pieces I wanted to play with to make a whole cupcake. You too can do this technique have a look at your stamps and see what you can create using left over scraps of paper.

Just for fun I thought I would enter into this weeks Colour Q Challenge. I have been playing around with these fun Greeting Farm stamp sets as they have some gorgeous girl design stamps that are perfect for my daughters aged group. This one is called Fleur Anya. I did some paper piecing using the Designer Specialty Paper - Delicate Doilies from Stampin Up. This beautiful paper will be retiring at the end of this month so if you wish to get your hand on a pack let me know as they are at discounted price too!!
Cascading Card with Belly
Band
This commissioned card was requested from a friend of mine to give to a relative who loves simple but elegant cards. This is the first time I made a cascading card, it took some planning ahead to make sure I get the cuts and scoring right. Overall I think it turned out great and was please with my first attempt. Hope you like Angela? and look forward to feedback from your Auntie.
