Hi All, Welcome to today's blog post which will also be my last one for the year. Today I watercoloured the Poinsettia from the Poinsettia's Stampset with Inksense Pencils.

To start the card off I heat embossed with White Pearl Super fine embossing powder. and I repeated the embossed image to create a background on the white cardstock base.

 

I picked up water with my brush then place the tip of the brush to the tip of the pencil picking up colour as I wanted the intensity of the colour to be strong and vibrant. 

 

I repeated the colouring process for all the poinsettia's. I also used the the blue pencil to lightly colour around the poinsettia's giving a soft colour to the rest of the card.  To finish off embellishing the card I have used a Tag Die, poinsettia's paper flower , sequins and white fabric crochet trim tape to place around the sentiment.  As a last touch I have corner rounded the bottom of the card stock base.

Hi All, Today's post is about a sweet simple card set that is quick easy PLUS be mass produced!

Supplies - 4 x4 white card stock base, 3 3/4 inch black matting or plain pattern paper, water colour card stock twine, circle dies, distress inks and an aqua brush.

Steps -

I created these cards production line format where I took each step and repeated it as many times as I needed for each set. I have created my own mask by die cutting using the Fancy Labels Dies #2 with copy paper. I have used copy paper as this makes a thin layer so when stamping it stamps close to the edge of the mask straight onto the cardstock.

I have used an array of blue inks and silver pigment ink for stamping the images from Build a stocking stampset.

To make the die cut edge a little more defined I have used the lightest blue ink with a blending tool and blended the blue with a very light tough only.

I lifted the mask off to reveal the stamped image.  You will find this method can also be easily used as a 1 layer card option as well.

I have used a step up version by layering the stamped card stock on another white layer with foam mount tape which is then matted onto a black cardstock base.

  

I have stamped the image from Festive Greetings with Onyx Black Versafine Ink.

To finish embellishing the card I have added some silver star sequins and glossy accents to the stampset silver stars.

Today I am focusing on using a stampset which has many sentiments in the one set and I have taken advantage of the sentiments by creating my own typographical type background.   The stampset used for today's card in the fairly new release stampset "Beer Lovers".

Beer Lovers

You will need plenty of clear blocks ready on hand as I found having the stamps already mounted on their blocks helped switching them around whilst stamping and inking up on your card stock.  I have kept to a black and white theme with a pop of colour for the glass of beer.

Each card has their own design and I have show cased that you can use rectangles and squares to achieve this overall typographic look.

To add some extra cardstock layers to the card I have used a stitched circle die yet still keeping the overall design clean and simple.

The above card has an added layer of Vellum this can help soften such a strong striking background and muting the text.

Each card has glossy accents that has been applied to all Beer stamped images. including the black and coloured beer.
