Today's card is all about the Easter. I played with my copics (which I am still learning to use) and my new Lawn Fawn Stampset "Eggstra Special Easter" and co-ordinating dies.

I have chosen 2  six by six paper packs - Lawn Fawn " Let's Polka" & Kaiser Craft "Happy Snaps".

The chevron bow ribbon is crushed curry from Stampin Up.

I have accented the bows on the bunny with Glossy Accents and brushed the eggs and hearts with Wink of Stella Clear to add a little shimmer.

I have used Chesnut Roan to stamp the sentiment and momento Tuxedo Black for the bunnies and eggs.

Hello lovely peeps, for today's card I have played with the Spring Lilac's paper pad. 

Lots of paper layering going on here from the flower to the background.

I have sponged all layers around the edges with Crumb cake.

The colour combination I have played with naturals ivory and rich razzleberry.

To make the sentiment pop on the rich razzleberry cardstock I have used white heat embossing powder.

To embellish the flower I have used an Antique Brad.

For the background I have used a honeycomb background sponged with gray ink and  then sponged with Unicorn White pigment ink for a shadow effect.

Cardstock colour combo is whisper white & basic black. 

Inks used are Versmark , Versafine Onyx Black, Basic Gray & Unicorn white.

Embossing Powders - Superfine white detail and Clear Gloss.

To created this simple and fun butterfly card I have used the new Butterfly stampset from Inspired By Stamping.

Cardstocks used is Whisper White, Basic Black & Crisp Cantaloupe.

Colour of inks used is Blushing Bride, Basic Black & Soft Sky.

The front butterfly I have used the Mega Flake Copper Kettle leaving such an intricate beautiful butterfly stamped image.

Today's card is made for a special friend who LOVES succulents. The stamped images are from Lawn Fawn Stuck On You. I have chosen to play with Momento Luxe inks Dandelion, Morocco, Pear Tart, Angel Pink & Rose Bud. I have also added Color Box Aquamarine to add a layer of green to the succulents.

The pattern paper is from Lawn Fawn Petite Paper Pack "Let's Polka". 

I have heat embossed with white embossing powder on Bermuda Bay cardstock with the Sentiment Sampler stampset from Paper Smooches.

To embellish this card I have used some buttons I had in my hoard vault and some hemp twine tied in a bow.

Hi all, welcome to today's blog post. Today is all about butterflies. I find butterflies are one of my favourite stampsets to play with as it you can be as versatile as you want. For today's card I will be playing with this months New Release stampset "Butterflies". 

Starting with a very vanilla cardstock base I heat embossed the smallest butterfly of the set repetitively along each side with clear gloss embossing powder.  I have used 2 distress inks  to layer the brown tones on the card base with Antique Linen then Vintage Photo  starting off the  sponging with the outer edges working my way towards to the centre of the card. As for the borders the brown towns make the butterflies pop.

For the centre stamped image the Water Lily Flower has been coloured in with water colour crayons (which I had to dust off) to colour these images in

For the sentiment I have used a die cut that I have sponged the outer edges with Vintage Photo distress inks. You can see the difference in the tones with the distress inks where for the base I first layered with Vintage photo therefore softening the brown tones and for the sentiment the brown tone is quite strong which perfect to stand out and not blend into the card background.

Hi everyone, today's card is all about trying new techniques. Today's technique is die cutting inlay, this technique taught me how to really maximize the use of my dies. 

I was able to use the Fancy Labels Die 3 and create layers with the oval die in the centre of the already die cut label. Instead of placing the layers on top of each other I inlaid the oval in the die cut.

For the centre panel I have not only used the die to cut through 2 layers of designer series paper from  Vintage Floral Paper pad I created a very thin border for the main centre where I die cut and I also penciled outside the die and hand cut around it.

I also used the oval co-ordinating die in the centre main die cut shape and inlaid  / nestled into the centre panel with a designer series paper.  The border imaged used is from the Fancy Labels 3 stampset and the sentiment is from Cute Circles.

To embellish the card I have used some flowers from Inspired By Stamping beautiful flowers collection. Behind the flowers I have used a taffeta whisper white ribbon tied into a bow paced behind the flowers.  I have added some extra pearls around the card to add that extra bit of class to it.

I hope this inspires you to think of ways to maximize use of your dies that you already have in your stash.

Hi All, I have made a clean and simple card using a water colour wash technique.

To paint the background I have saturated a smooth 300 GSM water colour cardstock by brushing water over it. Then  I picked up some colour from a round waterlolour pallet pack and brushed towards the centre out.

Once dried completely I heat embossed with black embossing powder the centre image from the "Tropical Paradise".  I also used the black heat embossing powder over some vellum for the sentiment from "Big Hello".

A simple one today  I know but I just love how a simple card with a pop of colour can brighten up my day.
