Hello everyone and welcome to Inspired By Stamping Release week!
Today's card is a simple watercolouring card. The stampset featured in today's card is the Spring Bouquet.
I find it best to use good quality watercolour cardstock to avoid any pilling. I like to use Antique Linen Distress Ink to stamp the image so I can see where I need to watercolour. I played with Peerless Transparent watercolours , Cadmium Yellow, Marigold Yellow, Arbutus Pink, Tea Rose Pink, Heliotrope, Mauve, Olive Green, Veridian Green & Neutral Tint.
For the sentiment I have used Onyx Black Versafine ink.
Hope you enjoy today's creation.
Release Week !!! Today's stampset is Australian Birds. The birds featured in todays card is the Rosells, Galah, Cockatoo and Kookaburra.
For the matting I have used a woodgrain designer series paper on the early expresso cardstock base. In the centre I have white heat embossed the sentiment from the Flower of the Month : Pansy.
I have used the ORIGAMI MAP from Neat & Tangled.
I used my peerless transparent watercolours to colour the image in with my aqua painter.
I won this stampset from Jennifer McGuire Instagram giveaway.
This card is going to a gorgeous friend of mine who leaves to trek around overseas to help the less fortunate this week. I am going to miss her so much but she will be back in 6 months and I can't wait to hear all about her journey.
I have entered this into the Addicted to Case Blog challenge -
Hi All, welcome to release week I am very excited to have played with with the new stampset Flower of the Month - Pansy.
Watercolouring has been my favourite technique to do with colouring flower images.
I like trying the no line colouring technique where I stamp using a very light water soluble ink like Antique Linen Distress Ink for the colouring I have used Peerless Transparent waterolours. The colours used are Olive Green, Grass Green, Marigold Yellow, Cadmium Yellow, Cobolt Blue, Amethyst, Mauve & Neutral Tint. To brush the colours on I have used an aqua painter brush which holds water when squeezed water distributes through the brush. This type of brush allows me to have more control of the water distribution on the water colour card stock.
For the sentiment I have used the Heartfelt Gratitude stampset, this is one of my favourite go to Thank You stampset as you have 18 sentiments to choose from. The ink used is Onyx Black ink for the sentiment as I love the crisp detail stamp image it leaves behind on all types of textured cardstock.
Inspired By Stamping has loads of awesome sentiments in their store don't forget to drop on by and have a squizzy.
For the base card stock I have used a Naturals Confetti white along with Plum and Black card stock. I ran our of black linen thread so I used my black copic marker and coloured the twine myself.
For an added extra element I have created a pennant / flag on the top right with black card stock.
I have entered this card in the following Blog Comp -
Hi All, This is my first card for the year with Inspired By Stamping and I have missed you all.
Today's card I have used the Emboss Resist Technique.
My design is clean and simple with the use of distress ink colours on the heat embossed panels to make the Background Basics III music note stampset stand out.
Colour combination is Barn Door & Picked Raspberry.
I have used a polka dot ribbon and plain black grosgrain ribbon to embellish the cards.
The card on the right has black sequins also to add a little touch of scattered black throughout the emboss resist panel. I have sprinkled some blush colour shine on the emboss resist panels.
Colour combination is Peacock feathers, Faded Jeans, Danube Blue & Bermuda Bay.
Navy satin ribbon had been added for the embellishment on both cards and a sprinkle of mint colour shine spray and sequins on the emboss resist panels.
Both cards I have used the co-ordinating Fancy Labels 3 cut files and Fancy Labels Die for all four cards.
Today's card is a simple yet a striking card. I have inked up an embossing folder on one side only with a light pink ink and ran that through my Big Shot machine thus leaving ink only on the deboss side. My colour combination for today's card is Blushing Bride & Vintage Sepia.
Stampsets & accessories used are listed below.
I have also done the inside of the card with the same colour ink combination.
