Designer Spot Light : Inspired By Stamping

01:00

Hi lovely crafting peeps and welcome to today's blog post. Today I will be using some masking fluid that I found at my local art and craft store.

I first stamped the floral image from the "Tulip Bouquet " stampset with Jet Black Staz On ink.

I then used an old brush and painted with Masking Fluid over the image with the masking liquid conscious of staying within the stamped image.

I chose 3 Distress Ink colours to use for the base to apply a wash colour over the image. To spread the ink over I used a flat brush. I made sure I first brushed the water colour cardstock with water so the distress inks can spread over the card stock without streaking. I used my craft mat to pick up the distress inks.

Once the ink has dried I used my rubber cement eraser to pick up the masking fluid leaving the white cardstock appear through the colour wash.

I then matted on black cardstock then placed on a white card base.
For the sentiment I have used the Big Hello stampset and heat embossed on vellum cardstock.

To help embellish I have used heart die cuts with red glittered cardstock  and placed them over the card.

I hope today's card inspired you to used other masking mediums other than post it notes or masking paper. I have found this method rather quick and easy.
