Inspired By Stamping : Panel Cards
07:30
Hi paper crafting peeps, welcome to today’s blog post.
Today
I am show casing how to make panels work for your cards. Panels are a great feature to add to all
types of card. I have made 3 types of cards
all have different widths and features to feature each panels. Each card
panel has been watercoloured with Zig Clean Color Real Brush marks and stamped
with the Inspired By Stamping Magnolias stamp set. Each card has also been embellished with
clear droplets scattered throughout each card. I have kept the bold sentiments
the same on each card. I have used one of my favourite sentiment stamp sets
“Just Because”, the script is just so elegant and has a huge array accompanying
sentiments.
Card 1 – Acetate card
with yellow water coloured panel.
Now playing with acetate can always be tricky and does
require some extra thinking to execute a clean and finished card. My biggest
tip is to make sure you cover all four sides, front & back of both the top
and bottom panels. Make sure all panels are the exact same size and I also
found it best to use double sided tape not liquid adhesives to place each panel.
The acetate adds a very elegant feel and
wow factor to a card that is clean and simple.
Card 2 – Inserted panel
with orange coloured panel.
This card I have cut out the panel and have placed liquid
glue on the top side of the panel and have come through the back of the card
front so the white panels are either side. To accentuate the panel I have added
thin black strips of cardstock either side of the panel as I feel this also
co-ordinates with the stamped sentiment.
Card 3 – Top panel –
Pink
The watercolour panel has been foam mounted on top of the
black card base with an extra piece of pink cardstock peaking through the right
had side of the panel only just to added the extra pop of colour to the whole
card.
I hope this set inspires you to create panels for your
cards.
Thanks for stopping by.
Hugs Jo
