The Card Concept #37 Blog Challange

21:48

Hi All, This is my first time playing along in this blog challenge and had a ball playing along.

I played with the smooshing technique that Kristina Werner and Laura Bassen has recently been demonstrating on You Tube.

The distress inks I used for the butterflies were picked raspberry, squeezed lemonade, cracked pistachio and peacock feathers.

I die cut the smooshing technique piece I worked on with the Floating Butterflies from Memory box.

The sentiment is from Altenew Label Love stamped in Hero Arts Black ink.  To help tie in the black from the sentiment and butterfly I placed washi tape along the left side of of the card.

  2. Wow! I love your 'smooshed' colors...they really resemble the inspiration photo and that die is awesome!! I love that you used washi tape instead of adding stamping or another layer of cardstock...I think I may use that idea very soon myself! Thanks for including The Card Concept in your stamping this week!
